We strive to make your volunteer experience enjoyable and
worthwhile. We are able to deliver our services thanks to
the numerous hours given by our extraordinary volunteers, our dedicated board of
directors, and our compassionate staff. In 2009/2010, volunteers logged 13,889 hours at
Irving Cares. The dollar value of that time was $289,586 and cash contributions from our
volunteers totaled $53,194.

Food Pantry
In 4-hour morning or afternoon shifts, Monday through Friday, volunteers prepare client
food orders and stock and sort groceries.
Case
Management
Spanish/English case managers are needed to interview clients, counsel them and refer them
to appropriate services. We provide on-the-job training.
Employment Services
Volunteers help clients write resumes,contact prospective employers to gather job posting
information, and make follow-up contact with clients who have gained employment.
Administrative
Volunteers support our staff by performing information and referral services, creating
files, preparing letters, performing data entry, and other tasks.
