Irving Cares asked for food drives in March and April to help fend off the “Summer Squeeze.” The squeeze happens when low-income families have children home from school in summer leading to higher grocery bills. While many children eat at the summer meals programs, food pantry requests increase – summer is easily the busiest season of the year for the food pantry. Citi stepped up with an award-winning food drive!
