I am so excited that Irving Cares can share this healthy food. We couldn’t have done it without funds from the North Texas Food Bank.  Their grant let us purchase equipment to receive and distribute these items,” said Kyle Taylor, Coordinator of Volunteers.

Irving Cares received $3,500 from NTFB to buy warehouse equipment including produce bins, hand trucks and a pallet jack.

“The North Texas Food Bank is proud to support Irving Cares with a Rethink Hunger grant,” says NTFB president and CEO, Jan Pruitt. “Irving Cares provides critical assistance to the local community and we are excited that this grant will help to increase efficiencies within their food distribution program.” “NTFB is a long-time partner of Irving Cares, and we look forward to continuing our role in fighting hunger in Irving,” said Teddie Story, Irving Cares CEO.

“The reaction from folks visiting the food pantry has been very positive and exciting, and the feedback from the community has been great. We thank North Texas Food Bank for the grant,” states Kyle Taylor, Coordinator of Volunteers.
